What you sign up for, how to unsubscribe, and what stays separate.
1. Ian news is your choice
The unchecked mailing-list checkbox asks for express permission for Big Moments Company, operating Your Friend Ian, to send Ian news and occasional product updates. It is not permission for unrelated Big Moments marketing, SMS, social posting, or a paid subscription. Frequency will vary with product news; no daily schedule is promised.
We record the consent wording/version and signup time. The signup identifies Big Moments Company and links to our Privacy Policy and contact email. Our mailing address is 69 Beltzhoover Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, USA. Future commercial emails will include these sender details and an unsubscribe mechanism.
2. Withdrawing consent
Email inbox@yourfriendian.com from the address you signed up with, or use the unsubscribe link in any future marketing email. We will process marketing opt-outs without a fee and within 10 business days, or sooner where required.
We will not require you to buy anything or sign into a new account to unsubscribe. Once campaigns exist, any limited suppression record will be used to prevent unwanted mail, not to restart marketing.
3. Service messages and optional reminders
In the app, requested sign-in links, receipts, security notices, and responses to your support requests are separate from marketing. Unsubscribing from product news does not prevent strictly necessary service communications, and we will not disguise promotions as transactional messages.
Outing reminders will be controlled separately in the app. SMS and push marketing are not enabled or authorized by the mailing-list form. If introduced, their permissions and notices must be presented separately before messages begin.
Members of the app can get Ian’s weekend picks: one email on Thursdays with up to three things happening near them that weekend. It is on for new accounts; members who joined before it existed are asked in the app first and get nothing unless they say yes. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and the switch is also in Your details. Turning it off does not change reminders or sign-in emails.
